She believes in the power of film to create connections and preserve the nuances of lived experience.Most recently, Deshaa attended the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival,2026 with Rango Bibaaho (Marriages By Design), directed by internationally acclaimed director Amitabha Chaterji, engaging with filmmakers, producers, distributors, and industry professionals from around the world. Her time at Cannes provided an opportunity to explore international collaborations, participate in conversations and introduce the film to a wider network of creative partners. The experience further strengthened her commitment to championing distinctive stories and building bridges between Indian independent cinema and the international film community.Through her work as an actor, producer, and art curator, Deshaa continues to support creative expression that is both locally rooted and globally relevant.Apart from her affluent careers in these fields, she is a practitioner of Indian classical dance form, Kathak since many years.
